Who is the Holy Spirit

and why do I need Him?

The Holy Ghost is the 3rd person of the Godhead (1 John 5:7).  He will talk to you; He will teach you and guide you (John 14:26, I Corinthians 2:13).  You will learn about Heavenly protocols and courtesies from Him, as he is a stickler for that.  He will tell you when He is dispatched to you that He will NOT strive with you.  You will do as He says, when He says, and how He says.  If you give the Holy Ghost any grief, like lying to Him and not being TOTALLY truthful to Him, He will leave you and turn you back over to Jesus, who will NOT be very happy that you have grieved His Spirit.

The Holy Ghost is also known as the Holy Spirit, the Comforter (John 14:16, John 14:26, John 15:26, John 16:7), and the Spirit of Truth (John 14:17, John 15:26, John 16:13).  The Holy Ghost is GOD, and He agrees with Jesus and the Lord of Hosts (1 John 5:7).  The Holy Ghost will ALWAYS glorify Jesus (John 15:26).  One of the Holy Ghost’s jobs are to raise and train God’s children (John 14:26, I Corinthians 2:13) and get them home.  He is the ONLY one down here on earth that knows the way home.  He is also the caretaker of the resources that we use on earth, and He is the one that makes what The Lord of Hosts thinks and what Jesus speaks become a reality.

The Holy Ghost is a no-nonsense type, so not being serious about what He is teaching will grieve Him.  He can be stern when it is necessary, and He gives Commands, so get used to receiving commands from Him.  The Holy Ghost is an EXCELLENT teacher, and He is patient with His students.  He does NOT tolerate slackers or those who are not serious about what He is teaching.  When you are filled with the Holy Ghost, you will have explosive power within you as He will reside in you.
